I too, made a foolish LEJOG attempt in early October. The Taxi met me at the station and whisked me to Land’s End – That was the easy bit!! I promised to post an update on my trip. I had set myself an ambitious target of 4 days solo unsupported, with my mileage decreasing each day to leave myself some contingency as my flight home was fixed. I achieved the required 300 miles on the first day: LE to Wolverhampton, but had loads of puncture problems which meant it took me nearly 24hrs. After 5 hours sleep, and feeling rather jaded, I set off again aiming for Scotland. And this is where it all went wrong. A strong NW wind was blowing and I was really suffering so only made it to Kendal (140 miles). The following day I made it into Scotland to Moffat (90 Miles), but it became clear at that point that even if I rode non-stop I was never going to make John O’Groats and back to Wick in time to catch the train. So I gave up, just skipping to Edinburgh the following day. A very memorable trip, if a little tiring, and not many people can claim 300 miles in a day… Looks like I’ll be using A2B Taxis again at some point in 2010!!!

Myself and a friend decided to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats on the 18th September, it was so nice to be met at the train station by A2B Taxis to give us a lift to our accommodation in Sennen Cove, rather than having to cycle at 11pm along unfamiliar roads. A2B Taxis made no fuss in getting our bikes and luggage in their vehicle, it seems it is a regular thing for them. I can highly recommend them if you need to get from penzance Station to land's End with your cycles. Regards David
